Romans 12:2

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Crazy....Truth

Disclaimer: I know who my readers are and they are in the 20% that I am referring too!!! This is made to encourage us 20 percenters not guilt us into more.

So why is it that no matter what you are involved in 20% of the people do 80% of the work? And more than likely it is the same 20% involved in multiple things of which they are holding up 80% of the work load.

Here's what I have figured out...maybe everyone else already knows this....but, again, if we would just get ALL of God's truth, if we would take His Word literally and DO IT, we wouldn't stumble and fumble around for so long trying to figure it out ourselves.

Titus 2:14 (The Message)
11-14God's readiness to give and forgive is now public. Salvation's available for everyone! We're being shown how to turn our backs on a godless, indulgent life, and how to take on a God-filled, God-honoring life. This new life is starting right now, and is whetting our appetites for the glorious day when our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, appears. He offered himself as a sacrifice to free us from a dark, rebellious life into this good, pure life, making us a people he can be proud of, energetic in goodness.

The truth I'm referring too...is when we do good things for others, we actually have more energy and more time, and more to give. Seems like it would be opposite, and like most of the Bible, the world and The Truth are very different thought patterns.

I came to realize this more than ever with the whole Africa thing again...it amazed me that the team had the energy to serve the way they did, and yes they came home very tired, but energized in a way I have NEVER seen. There is a beauty and energy that doesn't make sense when you give all you have to give in the name of the Lord for others. As Charlie frequently brings up....that during his trip the people would thank him for blessing them, and he quickly says he is the one who has been blessed, and when he says it he says it with all that is in him, because it is the truth and he feels is passionately.

Galatians 6:8-10 (English Standard Version)
8For(A) the one who sows to his own flesh(B) will from the flesh reap corruption, but(C) the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. 9And(D) let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap,(E) if we do not give up. 10So then,(F) as we have opportunity, let us(G) do good to everyone, and especially to those who are(H) of the household of faith

So when you feel tired of giving or doing....remember it will actually energize you to do something for someone else. Just look at those precious church ladies. They are old and they do more than anyone, I can't even hold a candle to them, but they have figured out this truth and are putting into practice and they can do circles around most people.

One more thing....I think it is also very necessary to take some time for ourselves...maybe not the way some people do, but to take the time and have an outing with friends, or with our family or just some girl time....(hint hint for my girlfriends) or just a quiet time alone, these are also necessary. Jesus would even sneak away to spend time alone with His Father, and he would slip away from the crowds, needing to be refreshed and renewed and rested. Many times He would spend time with only His 12 disciples. So, there's no guilt in these times, these are good and necessary. It is so easy to be refreshed when we have done something good. Also, it is amazing that there is MORE time to do these kinds of refreshing things the more we do the more we give because we are just more energetic positive people. Crazy....but TRUTH!

Like Mama Joyce says - "Faith is Energizing!!" I could not agree more. It is one of those super natural gifts Gods gives.
