Romans 12:2

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

What Are We Going to Do??

Matthew 6:30-34 (The Message)
30-33"If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—most of which are never even seen—don't you think he'll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you? What I'm trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God's giving. People who don't know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don't worry about missing out. You'll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.
34"Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don't get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.

We don't know what tomorrow holds, let alone next month, or next fall, or this summer for that matter. We have a large family, work is slow, costs are rising, we have a baby on the way, and a daughter getting married. The Lord has blessed us abundantly, and He has entrusted us with a lot......sooooooooooooo

What are we going to do????

Well, we are going to just love the Lord and seek Him and do what we feel He has called us to and what He has put in front of us to do, and then we are just going to trust HIM to do the rest. He is God! He knows all, he owns it all, and He LOVES us, so I know we are putting our trust in the right place!!

Trusting is not always the easiest thing...even though it would seem to be the easy thing...I mean to TRUST GOD..sounds like the logical thing...He did create us, He did send us His only Son to save us, and yet, it takes a lot of concentration and focus and work to TRUST HIM and wait on Him, versus worrying and stressing and working ourselves into a frenzy...which, we know does NO GOOD at all, but it is the thing we default to if we don't keep our minds on HIM and make a conscience effort to TRUST HIM.

I know what you are going through. God will get us through. He will.

Trusting right along with you.

Hubby is unemployed ... we have NO IDEA where he can find work ... we have 2 weddings in July, and NOT ONE DIME to give either of the kids (nor even where we will all stay to attend one of the weddings).

We have enough $$ to pay this month's bills, and next month's mortgage. That's it!

But ... gotta tell you ... husband has not had much income in the past 5 months, and yet we have PAID EVERY BILL. God has provided. God has been faithful. God has taken care of us ... and we KNOW He will continue to.

Our children will get married, even if they aren't the fanciest weddings on the planet. But, the brides will be beautiful ... and the weddings will be filled with LOVE. That is truly what is important. I, seriously, don't care if we eat homemade cookies for the wedding reception. I am so far past trying to impress anyone with the most expensive wedding.

God is GOOD.

God is FAITHFUL.

God is Our PROVIDER.

I will TRUST Him ... for my family and for yours.
