Only fitting to our journey thru Israel; we started the final day in the Garden of Gethsemane. We read Scripture together and remembered where we had been and how we got to this point. We knew we had a long day ahead, walking thru the events of Jesus’ crucifixion, and resurrection before we concluded our day and our tour. We couldn’t endure the day until we had spent some time alone in that Garden praying, reflecting and gathering strength and surrender for what was coming. May we start every day that we walk this hard road of life on our knees before God, may we stay awake, stand strong in full surrender.
God, thank you for all you have done. Thank you for what you did for me and for all mankind. Help us not to get sleepy. Help us to stand strong and watch, like you have told us. Strengthen our spirits that we may not give into the flesh. Help us to stand with you - believe In you - drink of the cup and eat of the bread of life that only you can give.
Your will Father, not mine.
